Weehawken eye specialist
If you want corrected vision and you no longer want to get it by depending 100% on your eyeglasses or contact lenses, we at Palisade Eye have the solution. Nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism are all improved dramatically with LASIK, the laser eye procedure that has forever changes how people see.
You'll first come in for a consultation and examination with our
Weehawken eye specialist, during which a full medical history is taken, and your risk factors are assessed. Your eyes will be examined, including gauging your corneal thickness and measuring your internal eye pressure. Bring your existing corrective eyewear with you. The procedure is done by reshaping your cornea so that light travels to your retina with greater precision. Misshapen corneas are the reason behind refractive conditions and subpar vision. Thanks to bladeless technology, our Weehawken eye specialist can open up a flap of your cornea, use the laser for the reshaping, and replace the flap all within just a few minutes per eye. There are no stitches and no bandages, and you can go home right afterward. It's a painless surgery, assured by applying anesthetic eye drops before it begins. If you have some dryness in your eyes later that day or the day after, don't worry. It's perfectly normal. You'll be given medicated eye drops for that and to protect against infection. You may be able to discard your prescription lenses for good due to LASIK. At minimum, you can expect to need them a lot less than you used to. The success rate for the procedure is as high as 96%. And even years later, the surgery can be adjusted to account for changes in your vision.
Contact our office today and we will arrange a time for you to come in and see our
Weehawken eye specialist as the first essential step in gaining vision independence for a long time to come.
